- Surely if living creatures saw the results of all their evil deeds, they would turn away from them in disgust. (Gita 5:26)
- But Egoism blinds them and they cling to their obnoxious desires. (Gita 6:9,I0,16)
- They crave pleasures for themselves and they cause pain to
others; when death destroys their individuality, they find no peace;
their thirst for existence abides and their ego reappears in births.
(Gita 2:62,63)
- Thus they continue to move in the coil and can find no escape from the hell of their own making. (Gita 16:20)
- And how empty are their pleasures? How vain are their endeavors?
Hollow like the plantain tree and like the bubble without contents.
(Gita 5:22, 9:12)
- The world is full of evil and sorrow because it is full of lust. (Gita 9:33,16:21, 18:40)
- Men and women go astray because they think that delusion is better than truth. (Gita 3:37)
- Rather than truth, they follow error which is pleasant to look at
in the beginning but in the end causes anxiety tribulation and misery.
(Gita 16:4, 18:38)
The way out of all miseries is Abhyasayoga as taught by the Gita.
