Abhyas Yoga According to the Gita E-mail

Since Gitananda strongly recommends Abhyas Yoga based on the insistence in Gitaji, we encourage the sincere lover of God and follower of the Gitaji to take notes of the following:

1.    Through constant practice and renunciation a devotees can control (purify) the mind. 6:35

2.    By force of habit due to previous studies he will continue devotion against his lower propensities.  6:44

3.    Progress through many lives will enable him to obtain the Supreme State. 6:45

4.    Those who are free from delusion of duality will worship me with determined vows and efforts. 7:28

5.    Intent on Abhyasa Yoga with the mind not diverted to anything else except God, he will attain absolute peace. 8:8

6.    With a single minded constant devotion, he who worships me all the time will see Me.  8:14

7.    Even if the worst of the evil doer from now onwards worships me with constancy, he will become a saint in no time. 9:30

8.    Those who speak or talk about Me, constantly satisfied in Me, and constantly absorbed in Me, will undoubtedly come to Me. 10:9

9.    Those who are continuously engrossed in worshiping Me with love in their heart will see the Light Eternal. 10:10

10.    If  you can't control your mind, then desire to see Me through Abhayasa Yoga. 12:9

11.    Those devotees who are constantly satisfied, controlled and constant in their determination are very dear to Me. 12:14

12.    Devotion to Me through single minded Abhyasa Yoga, which is free from corruption of the body, mind and intellect, is considered true knowledge. 13:10

13.    Wherein a man is engrossed in Abhyasa Yoga, his miseries will come to an end. 18:36
