Gitananda is a spiritual non-profit dedicated to the international presentation of the PATH OF LOVE through Eternal, Absolute spiritual principles universally applicable to humanity and to be achieved through personal interviews and spiritual guidance.

Gitananda seeks to empower everyone everywhere with the knowledge and experience of their own Divinity. The foundation stresses the practical application of the Bhagavad Gita's teachings as well as those of Mirabai. It also encourages individuals to practice the Universal Principals of Truth in their own home, making it a temple and bringing harmony, discipline, devotion, knowledge and love to each family that makes up society.

Gitananda maintains that finding the Divine within takes self-effort, spiritual study, sincerity and humility. While we may disagree with the outward mechanical rites and social superstitions that have ruined the sanctity of religion and hampered the growth of the spirit of religion, the fundamental principles of religion -- namely a deepening awareness of the Divine and compassion for humanity -- are never superseded. Rather we are repeatedly reminded of these spiritual laws through divine incarnations such as Mirabai, Buddha, Shri Krishna, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Mahavir, Mohammed, Nanak, Kabir, Narsi Mehta, and Shri Ramakrishna.

Gitananda is run by volunteers and funded through donations from people who, having experienced the benefits of spiritual study, wish to give others the opportunity to benefit from it also.
