Ghela Ame Bhale Thaya Re - Friend, It's All Right To Be Crazy For God's Love E-mail
Bhajan10

  1.  O Dear Lady Friend! It is all right for us to be crazy for the Love of God. It is of great virtue for me in running after the Love of Lord Krishna.
  2. All these days without knowing Lord Hari we tied our mind and hopes in the delusion of this samsar; and when we were lost in our journey of this life, we found a saint on our way.
  3. If we are crazy it is well and good that we are crazy after Lord Hari who freed us from the bondage of maya. We have been loving the Lord during our previous lives and therefore Lord Hari has been driving our chariot (life); now in this life.
  4. Only those crazy for the love of the Lord can understand the talks and feelings of such devotees-gopis. How can the worldly know our inner feelings? This love is even rare among the gods, but this crazy devotee here knows this love.
  5. We will not become worldly wise (foolish) giving up our craze for the Love of the Lord, rather we  will surrender to the saint. Mira says: O Lord Krishna-Giridhar! All our works, duties and purposes are finished successfully.
Commentary:
The best example of true love for the Lord are the gopis of Vrindavan. Mira was in her previous birth Radha, the queen among the gopis. When we are madly in love with Truth the world may criticize us or consider us mad as they did with Shri Ramakrishna Paramhansa. This should not deter us from the Truth. Those who are deluded by the Lord's maya cannot see or feel the Truth. Life is truly fulfilled if we can love God as Mira loved her husband, Lord Giridhari, totally insensitive to the worldly comments and customs. When we acquire love for the Gita and study and practice it without excuses, we will also feel, like Mirabai, that maddening love for the Truth. All truly great saints have experienced this love in one form or the other. Such love is indeed based on total purity of heart, faith, surrender and eradication of ego. When we are incapable of anger, love naturally flows through us by the grace of the Lord under all circumstances.

“Just as the nature of water is to flow downward, so also vice drags man downwards and is, therefore, undoubtedly easy. Virtue takes a man upwards and so appears to be rather difficult.” – M.K. Gandhi
