How can the Gita's teachings help me in social situations? E-mail

The Gita's teachings can be put to good use only if understood properly and practiced in life. Love, patience, selflessness, forbearance, forgiveness, sacrifice and thorough consideration for others are the Gita's teachings. If one follows them, there should be little difficulty in facing any situation any time any where. Usually physical pleasures, lust, greed and selfishness are primary obstacles in interacting with others. A society based on such selfish attitudes causes depression, frustration, anxiety and loss of hope. There is no need for such a mundane and depressing life since the Guru-Mother, the Gita, is available to us. Just start learning the Gita and applying its principles immediately. You need a dependable guide and map to guide you in an unknown country, and the Gita is there for you as your Eternal Companion and guide.

Quotes

“Why is there good as well as evil, happiness as well as misery in this world? God is and yet He is unseen. He is the Law as well as the Law-giver. Therefore, it follows that man is what his actions make of him. He rises by good actions, and falls by evil ones.” – M.K. Gandhi
