First of all, attraction to the opposite sex is often based on physical needs rather than spiritual needs. Love has nothing to do with hate. So when hate arises, then physical needs, sex, etc. have frustrated you. It is the nature of things and people that only perishable can be obtained from perishables. There should be no surprises. Duality, passions, ­and hatred are the nature of things that can be avoided only by love for truth. Such a person will usually have no need for the opposite sex or will look upon them as divine and will not take shallow advantage of body, mind or intellect. Instead such a person will penetrate to the Ultimate Atman, to the soul.
