How do we do the right thing without hurting anyone? |
|
|
Whenever you are doing the right
thing, you are never truly hurting anybody. Usually we are not doing the right thing, we are just doing everything our way. And that is why we hurt others. It does not matter who they are -- friends, children, parents or
spouse -- because if you are doing the right thing according to the Gita, you
don't have to worry.
We will see in the Gita that Duryodhana and the Kauravas
were not doing the right things and they got hurt. Even after Lord Krishna
advised them not to do wrong things, they continued to do them. They were going to get hurt and they
did. So we can't keep people from
getting hurt. It is very important to
know that it's not up to us to stop others from getting hurt. It is they themselves who have to look at
things properly. Keep the Gita as a guide, then you should not have any trouble. The problem is that everyone makes up their
own guide instead of turning to the Gita.
We should have one guide: the Gita.
