Why do we believe that there is God in everyone? Is it hard to find God in people who do bad things? |

God resides in everyone, just like
there is water in everybody. Then there
are the essential elements of life such as the earth, fire, sky and air. Every creature -- men, animals, trees, or birds
-- consist of these elements. We know that
there is a part of God through these manifestations and through Atman. Just like the many drops of water from the
ocean have one source of origin. All the
sources of energy comes from one source ,the sun. All pranas -- breaths of life -- comes from the air. So we know that everything must have one
source.
It is true that it is hard to find
God in people who do bad things. We
should not approve of the bad things that people do. We should not punish people for doing bad,
but we should sympathize for their ignorance. Nobody likes to do bad things. It
is quite natural to dislike bad things because we are supposed to move towards
the good, thus giving up the bad. In the
beginning, it is important that we learn to distinguish between good things
and bad things. Give up the bad and
stick to the good. What should we do
with the people who do bad? If we have
the capability to help them, then we should try to help. If you are not capable, then you should not
try to help. In any case we should not
hate people, but we should sympathize with those who do bad things.
