I Bow to the Divine Grace: Mookam Karoti |
|
"I bow down to that Madhava, Lord Shri Krishna,
the Lover of all mankind, the Source of Supreme, Absolute Bliss, beyond all
sorrow, whose grace makes the dumb eloquent and the cripple cross
mountains."
If we start our day with this prayer, we may become recipients of God's grace. Without
God's grace we are blind drivers. Since we are all children of
the One Supreme Lover and Source of all that exists, we are also sparks of
that love. Let love be our basis of life. Love asks for nothing, expects
nothing, never trades anything including the body, mind and intellect. It desires
no name and fame and is devoid of self-love or self propagation. Love
sacrifices for the sake of the Lover.
The worldly man -- due to
lust, greed and desire for fame -- is dumb. His pride and vanity cripple him. They
are obstacles in the path of Joy. A lover of Truth, however, receives
the grace of God, which is sufficient to overcome all obstacles, even if they
are larger than the Himalayas, and however stupid a person may be, he/she will
soon become divine.
This is a prayer of hope
for those who are humble. This is an assurance to true freedom from the bondage
of desires, passions and delusions.
May we have this prayer
lodged in our heart and in our every breath until the last.
