Remember the Goal of Selfless Service E-mail

All the services, self studies, and sacrifices we are performing are only for the one single, unique and unparalleled goal of Self Realization.

Therefore nothing we do is for others, but only for the self-purification of our Jiva. If we do not remember this constantly, pride, vanity, and arrogance can raise their hood anytime to poison our holy life. Our enemy is ignorance (agyan), which causes delusion (maya) and a downfall as certain as death for a created thing or being. Only love, selfless service and total vanquishing of self-love will do the trick. We should not hope for an easy, magical or sneaky way.

Only the brave ones can take this path, and then, only a few out of these will be able to continue in spite of worldly chaos. And even then, only a rare one will reach the goal (Gita 7:3). We hope to be That rare one of course. Gita indeed has that singular goal in mind as she guides us so that we reach the GOAL in this very life, the sooner the better.

Quotes

"Each soul is potentially divine. The goal is to manifest this divinity within by controlling nature, external and internal. Do this either by work, or worship, or psychic control, or philosophy: by one, or more, or all of these -- and be free. This is the whole of religion. Doctrines, or dogmas, or rituals, or books, or temples, or forms, are but secondary details." - Swami Vivekananda
